We used to shoot the shit, Monday afternoons. He was working on staying drunk and I was coming-to. I honestly can't say I ever said a word, as he went on and on with the craziest shit I ever heard. Deep-state government cover-ups and the puppeteers.... It was always kinda racist, we were always kinda scared. And then one day he wasn't there. Godspeed, you drunken wonder. We used to kill a fifth, Sunday afternoons. Bitch about the radio floating in his parents' pool. We'd geta bit too far, drink our filter off, somebody'd come with some hot shot bullshit and he'd light em up. He coughed out 'Honey, go f*ck yourslef's without a care. They always kinda went apeshit, we were always kinda scared. And then one day he wasn't there. Godspeed, you drunken wonder. He looked me dead in the eye, as if to impart some timeless wisdom, "There's too much rain in the atlasphere, the ground can't soap it up... So drink, like nobody's watching, scream like nobody's sleeping, shake the oppressive chains of society, bathe when ya feel like. Smoke like you'll live forever and love like you'll die today and shake the domestic chains of society, piss where ya feel like." Godspeed, you drunken wonder. (2X)

Solid Days 03:57
Had a pretty solid day, nothing really happened. No monumental change, still relatively happy. Had a pretty solid day, but some might call it tragic, or depressingly mundane, or maybe wish they had it. I like to think that I'm okay but sometimes I can't breathe at the thought of all the waste... Otherwise, I'm good. I found this song I kinda love, it's so honest. And if I'm honest, I've kind of leveled out, and that's good enough for now. Just grounded. And I hope you've found it too. Had a pretty solid day, some of it had us laughing. Got to hear about your day and bitch about the traffic. Had a pretty solid day, none of it really mattered. Maybe that's a waste, but I like that it happened. I like to think that I'm okay but sometimes I can't sleep with the thoughts of what awaits... Otherwise, I'm good. I found this song I kinda love, it's so honest. And if I'm honest, I've kind of leveled out, and that's good enough for now. Just grounded. And I hope you've found it too. You're worthy of the same love that you've been giving, Show yourself the same trust that you put in 'em and Cut yourself some slack, pat your own fucking back, and spend time on yourself without feeling so bad I don't miss the old you, I just fucking miss you, and in spite of all you go through, I really hope one day you can say... Otherwise, I'm good. I found this song I kinda love, it's so honest. And if I'm honest, I've kind of leveled out, and that's good enough for now. Just grounded. Yeah, I guess I 'found it' too.

She found a corset in some dying outlet mall, she bummed a record from her older brother's best friend Paul. She dyed her hair black, she dyed her whole world black and took up smoke and sulking and scoffing all matter of fact, "666, mark your body for the devil. I'm so sick, sick, sick of you casual frauds. 666 belongs to heavy metal not you Alt Rock Jocks, you've ruined it, you're doing it wrong." He found an old kit in his burned out uncle's loft, he studied Carcass, and Slayer, and Vader, learned every song. He dyed his hair black, he dyed his whole life black, and took up piercings and half sleeves and chanting all matter of fact, "666, mark your body for the devil. I'm so sick, sick, sick of you casual frauds. 666 belongs to heavy metal not you Pop Punk Goths, you've ruined it, you're doing it wrong." Crucifixes, all dipped in red, hang upside-down on their bedroom walls. Superstitious and Southern Baptist mom and dad pace the adjacent hall, waiting for an open door to say... "It's 616, read a book get on our level. We're so sick, sick, sick of you shopping mall frauds. 666 is scary movie evil and they sold you all... and you bought it, you bought it, you bought it all... 666 mark your body for the devil. We're so sick, sick, sick of you calling out 'fraud.' 666 belongs to heavy metal and us one and all, the dark lord will have us all.

Take Care 04:19
Take a shower. Throw on some clothes you like and do your hair. Clip your nails. Sweep your floors and change your sheets. Open a window. Take a walk, and get some sun. Take out the trash while you're at it. On your walk, think of the last time you love doing anything and go do it again. Just get out of bed, right now. Get out of bed, right now. Get out of bed, right now, and you can do it. Call your mom. Call someone you care about and let them know. Take deep breaths. See yourself for more than who you've been. Tell the truth. If you can't fix you, you've got to tell the truth and find someone who can. You're not a mess that needs cleaning. You're not a burden, believe it, and come back around again. Just get out of bed, right now. Get out of bed, right now. Get out of bed, right now, and you can do it.

I'll do one more year of doing nothing. One more year of waiting for something. Two more excuses, three detox juice cleanses, four more dead Saturdays, but that's all I can take. Cause I wanna get day-buzzed and hang out on the lawn. And call up Tay 'cause it's been too fucking long. And I want you to, but I'll do it with or without you 'Cause I'm through. Let's hang with some dudes, talk music and brews and good food, and good news. 'Cause I got real fuckin' old, and for real, I don't know what to do. I got one more year of doing nothing. One more year of waiting for something, Two premix-ritas, three low-carb pizzas, four more staycations but that's all I can take. 'Cause I wanna get blitzed and float the river again. And take a trip and not to somewhere we've been And I want you to, but I'll do it with or without you 'Cause I'm through. Let's hang with some dudes, talk music and brews and good food and good news. 'Cause I got real fuckin' old, and for real, I don't know what to do, Let's move. We'll buy us a van, pack the dogs and the band and just cruise... I want you along, but check the name of the song, it's on you.
